EWIPO Programme (Empowement of Widows,People Living With HIV/AIDS and OMVCs-Orphans and Most Vulnerable Children)
This is the main programme which is run by TAMIHA, under this programme we have several projects and each deals with and is intergrated with in EWIPO.

WING PROJECT -Widows Income Generating Project
In supporting the Widows and People Living With HIV/AIDS we have established WING .The project aims at empowering the widows socially and economically so to rescue them from HIV/AIDS Transimmission. Most of the women in USA RIVER are infected with HIV/AIDS due to poverty and luck of reliable source of income. After death of husbands So in struggling  to take care of the family, the widows  involve in commercial sex which leads to the risk of HIV contamination
To solve the problem  we group the widows together, train them on projects management and about the effects of HIV/AIDS;For those who are already infected we train them on how they can live long and positively, and hence raise their children. We raise some funds from own contributions to support  the groups to use as seed capital.Among the projects the widows do in a group include Poultry Projects,Vegetable Projects,Tailoring Projects and Cartering Projects.Currently we have established 3 groups in Meru District with 25 members each. Each group operates as the resource centre in order to educate more widows in the surrounding communities. This project is strategically operating well, though the major problem we face is  luck of reliable source of funds, and thus we are limited to establish as few groups as we can to support many suffering widows/women.

CLAS PROJECT-Clubs Against AIDS in Schools
Another project which is supported and run by TAMIHA. This project focuses on the fight against AIDS among the youth and minors especially in schools. The projects is aiming at establishing HIV/AIDS clubs in schools for the purpose of training those who are interested and they can train the others and creat awareness in the general picture.
To date,TAMIHA has established about seven clubs in schools across Meru.
Schools include both secondary and primary and among them are Akheri secondary,Nshupu Secondary,Muungano secondary and Uraki secondary.
the primary ones are Tengeru, Mavinuni and Lenganga Primary schools.

TAMIHA-Orphanage Care Centre
this is also a project in TAMIHA. Under the orphans day care center we take care of orphans especially the ones who are HIV positive and those who have been left behind with their parents who had died of HIV. The center is located in Ngarasero village  USA River, arusha.

This is our pilot center project and its our model for all the centers we want to establish.
The center provides different services to the children including food, clothes and school, which they could never get otherwise. Some children are sick and need a lot of attention and complicated Medicare.

We now host more than 30 children and each child costs about $30 a month to maintain, we mostly depend on donations from concerned parties and we will highly appreciate it if you can help us handle some of the children!

We highly appreciate and thank prior volunteers for their support in establishing the center. May god bless you all.

We have detailed pictures of orphans at the gallery for your perusal.

OOP PROJECT- Orphans Outreach Project
This project aims at locating and reaching vulnerable orphans in their specific households. With in the project officers of TAMIHA and volunteers visit the homes of respective orphans and talk to their caregivers and generally put them in our data base so that we continually visit and provide humanitarian help in form of prerequisities.
